Pros:
I can't think of many pros with NetZero, however, there are a few.

1. The free service is free if you don't mind the banners.

2. Platinum is inexpensive

3. It's a litle better than Juno, which is strange, since both of them are owned by United Online. Go figure!

Crons:
A lot more Cons than Pros, obviously :)

1. Connect speeds using platinum vary from 28.8 to 46

2. Frequent server errors

3. Useless tech support,

4. Ad Bar (but same crap you get with AOL)

5. The log-on on box has a tendency to remain on the screen after logging on. Slow speeds(5 Kbs mostly). It leaves a permanent button on the taskbar while connected

6. Constant interruptions

7. Software crashes

8. Getting spammed and advertisements in their email which I cannot block! That sucks!

Additional Comments:
My final comments:

If you are thinking of getting a free internet service, think again, and for god's sake don't use Netzero, it stinks!

I tried to load it for an hour or two and kept getting stupid disconnect messages and when it logged on it wouldn't work right and kept bumping me off. Even after downloading the upgrade and it didn't help.

I have been a netzero user for about 6 months. Back then, it was, I venture to say, good. Boy, have they changed! Now, new banners pop up all the time, and if you try to close them, they just pop up again! But the worst is the 30 second "window of opportunity" to keep your connection.

Just try donwloading a lot of emails with this running! I tried this with several MBytes of mail; I succeeded in getting a couple downloaded, but every time, it would log me off before completing all of them. Then when I tried again, it started at the beginning again, and I was stuck in an endless loop - no more email. I am going to pay for my next provider!
